SELFCO was using two separate platforms for the front- and back-office leasing operations. The two systems were not coordinated; information located in the front-office system was not always transferred to the back-office system, so part of the job then had to be done manually with the possibility of data-loss. Employees had to spend time extracting information from two systems, as well as inputting duplicate information into two separate systems. This increased the risk of human error. The employees had to login to different systems at the same time in order to complete various operations, which was time consuming. The company needed a unified leasing software system, encompassing leasing front-end, back-end, General Ledger (GL)/ financial accounting and Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
Read the case study to find out how the system allowed the company to save around 120 000 AUD annually for extra staff in the back office and around 30 minutes of employee time for each quote.
