Constant improvement

We see a paradox: technologies that are meant to help business are instead limiting the ability to grow. Therefore the SOFT4Leasing Product Team is constantly thinking about how to develop the product in today’s changing environment, and how to make it even more useful for leasing companies.
Every quarter, we gather all the useful features from various projects and customers’ requests and decide which should be included in the next SOFT4Leasing release. In addition, Dynamics 365 Business Central (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) – the platform our solution is built on – is being constantly developed by Microsoft and a new release appears each year.

What’s new

SOFT4Leasing Release SL66 (April 2024)

The following features and functionality are introduced with SOFT4Leasing version SL66.

New Leasing Notifications framework allows to configure and distribute different types of notifications, such as email, SMS or internal workflow.
Add monitoring flags to contacts and assets.
Streamline management of multiple contracts of a customer by using new Master Contract
Split Supplier Deposits per multiple suppliers on quote or application.
View documents directly in web client using Document Viewer.
Store document attachments in Azure Blob Storage.
Find uninsured assets quickly using Uninsured Assets
JATO Car Specs integration allows to configure vehicle on quote or application by using Options Configuration Wizard.
Asset Variation allows to pay out asset, return asset and add new asset on live contract.
Better analysis with default dimensions on application or contract.
Better analysis with new contract balance types: Current, Reporting and EOM.
Use solve the interest rate functionality on variation of live contract.
Integrate third party systems using new leasing API’s.
Configure commission claw-back
New accounting process of sell of receivable based on G/L Accounts.

SOFT4Leasing supports SOFT4Leasing Solutions for the current and the last two SL versions. All other versions are not supported.

Previous versions

Administrator Role center allows for monitoring system activities, quicker notice, and solving
issues appear in the system.
Users can input regular installment amounts and the system will solve the interest rate on
quotation and application.
Operating Lease financial product can post the Downpayment amount to the deferred revenue
account and amortize it over the lease term.
Users can use simplified change payment date variation.
Reverse leasing-related transactions easier using Posted General Journal, even if
the accounting period is already closed.
Early Termination module is included in the Starter pack

Hire Purchase financial product has received a possibility to add total calculated VAT for a selected period (when a customer claims to purchase VAT from the tax office).
A new rule, First Installment Payment Control, has been added to the Financial product. In this way contract activation can be blocked until the first installment is not paid by the customer in advance.
Approval Workflow Selection feature allows having different approval workflows based on a financial product, maximum customer exposure, and amount financed (e.g., an Application with an Amount Financed higher than 100K can require two approvers)
Contract rescheduling now supports an easy switch from fixed interest to variable interest and vice versa.
Applicant variation is now supported for Active contracts.
Configurable Contact and Applicant field “Registration No.” value checks to decrease the number of errors when entering company number or individual personal number value.
Possibility to include some fixed additional amount for every installment.
Possibility to create Insurance packages (like already existing Service packages) has been introduced.
Simple Address Input feature makes address input easier if you do not need to split the address into detailed components when storing it in the database.
A new, updated version of the documents data sets is available. It has more consistent variable names, unified address formatting, and some other improvements.
